Old broom stick used as a welsh plug. Good improvisation. But why did we not repair it properly when we got home?
This is how the thermostat came out it's housing. See what is wrong? Yes, installed the wrong way round.
Wonder why the valve cracked? Please look at the previous photo and identify the black T pipe in the bottom right. No stopper was fitted so heaps of unwanted air made mixture very lean.
Reco head with "tell tale" washer fitted for warranty purposes. Melt it and there is no warranty to a reco head!
