If the warning light is on and steady it indicates a fault in this system. Audi TT Mk1 coolant temperature warning light - this coolant symbol lamp on your Audi TT is a very serious lamp and should NOT be overlooked as it could seriously damage your engine. Check your coolant levels and top up if required, also check for any leaks coming from your expansion tank because if your fluid is leaking it means the correct coolant is not working its way around the engine which will lead to an overheating engine which is very expensive to replace.
Audi TT Mk1 widscreen wash warning light - this light signals that the water/screenwash level is low and you need to top up as soon as possible to prevent your view being obstructed.

Audi TT Mk1 'P' parking warning light - this parking symbol lamp will simply illuminate when the handbrake is in use. It will turn off when the handbrake is released.
Audi TT Mk1 glow plugs pre heating warning light - the glow plug warning symbol lamp will illuminate when you switch on your ignition. The light will stay on for a short while and only when the light turns off will it be safe to start your engine. This is not a fault and is simply a saftey feature. This warning symbol will only illuminate in diesel engines.
