Mercedes-Benz C-Class W204 Service Indicator Reset - This process should work for any W204 (2008-2011, C300, C350, and C63).
Step-by-step Instructions:
Get into the driver seat.Close all of the doors.
Insert the key into the ignition.
Turn the key into Position 1.
The following steps will be done on the steering wheel:
Press "OK" if there are any indicators, making sure your Odometer is displayed on the cluster.
Press and hold the Call button.
Just after pressing the Call button, press and hold the "OK" button.
Press the down arrow until you are highlighted on "ASSYST PLUS", then press "OK".
Press the down arrow until you are highlighted on "Full Service", then press "OK".
Press the down arrow until you are highlighted on "Conf. Full Service", then press "OK".
Press the down arrow until you are highlighted on "Yes", then press "OK".
Press the down arrow until you are highlighted on "Confirm", then press "OK".

NISSAN X TRAIL ECU RESET - FUSE BOX METHOD.
For those that have recently done a performance upgrade (i.e. K&N Filter, Iridium Spark Plugs, Exhaust, etc, etc), an ECU reset/reprogram is advisable.
By performing a reset/reprogram your ECU will self adjust to give the proper air and fuel mixture for your engine which in theroy will give you the best fuel economy based on your upgrades.
Here is how to do it:
1. Start up your X-Trail and allow it to warm up to its normal idle.
2. Next turn off the engine.
3. Locate the fuse box located under the bonnet and next to the battery. Pull out the 3 fuses: ENG CONT1 (15A), ENG CONT2 (10A), ENG CONT3 (20A). Refer to the pics below. Keep the fuses out for at least 5 minutes. This will cut all power to the ECU.
4. Plug the fuses back in and close the bonnet.
5. Start your X-Trail making sure NOT TO TOUCH THE ACCELERATOR WHEN YOU START IT UP. This is very important.
6. Let the X-Trail idle at its normal idle speed for about 4 minutes, then turn off your engine.
7. Start your X-Trail again and you're done.

RESET NISSAN ECU IN THE CABIN - NO BATTERY REMOVE.
Reset ECU in cabin without battery disconnect. Car is an Australian delivered 2012 Nissan X-trail but should also work for most Nissan models 2006+ . Written instructions below...
1) Put the car in "ON" mode (cars with intelligent key press the start button twice with foot off the brake to put car in "ON" mode without starting the car)
2) Within three seconds of the car turning to "ON" (again NOT started), Floor (all the way down) and release the accelerator pedal fully 5 times within 5 seconds.
Do not do this too fast.. 1..2..3..4..5
3) Wait about 7 seconds then floor the accelerator pedal and hold for 10 seconds. After that 10 seconds the Check Engine Light will start to blink slowly.
4) Release the pedal and floor it down once again and hold for 10 seconds. After these 10 seconds the check engine light will disappear then begin to flash much more rapidly. After you have done the following turn the car off and then back on.
The Ecu is now reset
This is all about timing so try until you get it right!
I've been using this on my 2007 Nissan skyline (Infiniti G37) & have also done this on a 2006 350z and a 2006 Tiida so this method should work for most Nissan's 2006+ if not earlier.

BMW N42 OIL SERVICE INDICATOR RESET / 318i
If your OBC needs to be reset after completing your oil change, below is the method:
NOTE: If you miss a step, just turn the key back off and try again.
BMW Models Mid-2000 Onwards:
You will not have the 20-pin DLC connector as the older BMW models had, hence you will need to follow the below procedure.
1) Press and hold the left odometer reset button while turning the key to position 1 (Accessory).
Keep the button pressed for about 5 seconds until any of the following shows in the display: OIL SERVICE or INSPECTION with RESET or RE
2) Release the button and press it again for another 5 seconds until RESET or RE flash.
3) While the display flashes, press the button one last time briefly to reset the Service Interval.
If done correctly, RESET / END SIA should show up for a few seconds.
