Spiral Logistics - 59884 S - Trailer.

SPIRAL LOGISTICS - PROJECT NO. 12


Requested to follow through with safety adjustments.
Spec's and instruction provided by client.





Completed walk around of Project No 12.




Find below before and after pics of the job.


Project No 12



Damaged rear tail board and signage.


Bent and damaged access ladders.


Damaged access ladders both sides of the truck.


No timber box and tool boxes damaged.


Fabricated and painted rear tail gates , secured with chain and d shackles.


Rear end straightened out and new signage fitted.


Headboard straightened and painted - new pins and rope on timber.


New steps fabricated - new timber box fitted - toolbox repaired.


New load binders fitted - new rope to bearers.


Tailgates repaired / fabricated / fitted to rear.


Deck painted with yellow strips - new pins .


Spiral Logistics Weight Scales Options.

The two options are found below.
1)  Right Weigh Scales.
2)  Air Pressure Gauge in enclosure.

The Nissan UD fleet of trucks with airbags are suitable for this type of application.
Where more than one airbag ride control valve is fitted some additional piping and valves are required.
This could be the case with some of the three axle trailers.


Here is the photo of the Nissan UD airbag suspension and the ride height control valve.

Spiral Logistics - 03 889 S - Trailer

SPIRAL LOGISTICS - PROJECT NO. 10


Requested to follow through with safety adjustments.
Spec's and instruction provided by client.

Straighten out rear tail board..
Replace broken dead bolts for side pins.

Fabricate 14 x new side pins, drill holes and paint yellow.

Remove rust corrosion on the  front headboard / prime with rust block and paint white.
Clean up the sides of the load-body and paint white.

Remove rear set of steps / badly damaged
fabricate a new set of steps / RHS + LHS.
Weld new steps into place.
Paint steps yellow.

Paint yellow safety strip along both lengths of the tray.

Remove old frayed rope and strapping from timber and replace with new rope.
Secure timber to the load-body.

Repair  damaged toolbox on the LHS of the trailer.
.
Remove damaged spare wheel carrier.

Secure new fabricated mountings to the trailer for the new timber box.
Fit new timber box to trailer and touch-up with red paint.

Remove fire extinguisher mounting bracket from landing leg.

Fit new number plate LED lamp and Ally "LONG VEHICLE " sign.

Requested to follow through with safety adjustments.
Spec's and instruction provided by client.

Straighten out rear damage and side rails with porter - power pack.
Replace broken dead bolts for side pins.

Fabricate 14 x new side pins, drill holes and paint white.

Remove rust corrosion on the  front headboard / prime with rust block and paint white.
Clean up the sides of the load-body and paint white.

Straighten steps and paint yellow.

Paint yellow safety strip along both lengths of the tray.

Remove old frayed rove and strapping from timber and replace with new rope.
Secure timber to the load-body.

Remove old damaged toolbox on the LHS of the trailer.
Fabricate new mountings of new toolbox supplied by the customer.
Fit toolbox to trailer.
Fit new chrome lockable locks to toolbox.

Remove damaged spare wheel carrier.

Secure new fabricated mountings to the trailer for the new timber box.
Fit new timber box to trailer and touch-up with red paint.

SPIRAL LOGISTICS - PROJECT NO. 5

Requested to follow through with safety adjustments.
Spec's and instruction provided by client.

Fabricate rear Tail boards / removable in three sections / 750 mm high.
secure Tail boards with chain and D shekels.

Fabricate new side loading pins / weld chain to pins and secure to truck with D shekels.

Weld mesh WK 2517 to Tailboards and  prime.
Remove rust corrosion on the  front headboard / prime with rust block and paint white.

Clean up the sides of the load-body and paint white.
Straighten one set of steps and paint yellow.
Paint hand grab rail yellow and handles on the headboard.
Paint yellow safety strip along both lengths of the tray.

Secure timber to the load-body.

Walk-around inspection on completion of job.


Rear tail gate missing and damaged.

Mounting points for rear tail gates damaged , need repair.

Side safety pins missing and yellow lines faded.

Front nose damaged and looking untidy.


Front nose.

Job completion, front nose repainted.

Reflectors added and edge straightened out.

Side view of new loading pins and chains.

Headboard cleaned up and repainted. Welds repaired.

Extended tray cleaned up and painted.

New rear tailboards fabricated, holding pin tubes repaired and new chains fitted.
