Deutz Hydralic Power Pack

Restoration of a very powerful hydraulic power pack used in the Tunnel Boring Industry. Powered by a Deutz air cooled diesel engine and producing 880 bars of oil pressure this baby pushes a 1.2m Tunnel Borer 80m underground. As can be seen in the first photo this machine was in desperate need of attention. Being air cooled the blower was rebuilt , a new control panel was fabricated and wired up to OH&S specs , alternator and starter replaced , hydraulic hoses all replaced and pressure relief valves fitted. Engine speed control and auto idle also fitted. The engine was services and lastly she got an clean coat of paint.
Ended up tunnel boring in Horsham with no incident.
